Who I am
My journey through college presented many challenges: entering undecided, pushing past my social anxiety, and experimenting with multiple majors.
Through it all, I pondered the question posed by Mary Oliver:
A quote from Mary Oliver saying "What is it you plan to with your one wild and precious life?"
It was then, in junior year, that I took a leap and joined a bootcamp for UI/UX design, something quite unfamiliar, but from my discussions with my parents and mentors, I saw the potential to link my academic pursuit of computer science with my passion for the visual arts into one.

Looking back now, I am forever grateful for taking that chance. Discovering how I think, emphasize, and observe the world through design. Growing as a student into a leader, sharing what I’ve learned and collaborating with my peers. Starting projects with a range of ideas, exploring potential solutions through research and conversation with others, and creating something fully realized, with the potential to always iterate and improve upon your creation.
From that leap and all that followed, I now live with a plan in mind:
A quote from Trey Anderson saying "To design tools and resources that benefit the world and are accessible to all."
How I design
A icon of a light bulb
One of Trey Anderson's design principles that says "Creating thoughful design out of curiousity"
I let my hands do the thinking, taking the time early on to explore many ideas through sketching, collaborative exercises, and iteration to ensure the right direction taken.
One of Trey Anderson's design principles that says "Conversing and learning from the audience"
Interacting with current or future users, through interviews and usability testing, ensures I’m focusing on the right problems and empathizing with real concerns.
One of Trey Anderson's design principles that says "Using AI intentionally, not a jump to the solution"
Solutions for human issues come from human imagination. New tools and workflows can increase the “efficiency” of the process, but I believe final decisions must always come from the designer.
What else I do
In my free time, you’ll find me exploring the outdoors, cooking new recipes, and enjoying a night-in with a cozy game.

I also love practicing digital drawing & photography, as my pursuit of the arts is to learn, grow, and inspire others to express themselves. Here's a selection of my favorite works!
